L’AVIS DE MES LECTEURS

  • Un roman absolument exceptionnel. L’intrigue est captivante du début à la fin, avec un rythme maîtrisé et des rebondissements qui tiennent en haleine jusqu’à la dernière page. Difficile de lâcher ce livre une fois commencé. Les personnages sont forts, complexes, et suscitent de vraies émotions — preuve d’une écriture efficace et immersive. La fin est particulièrement marquante, pleine de surprises, et laisse une impression durable. Grand lecteur ou lecteur occasionnel, ce roman réconcilie avec le plaisir de lire. Sans aucun doute un livre marquant, qui mérite sa place parmi les meilleures lectures.

  • It's not often a book comes around from a debut author that wows me, but this is one of them! If you like a murder mystery with high stakes, read this book. If you like sapphic yearning, read this book. If you like the thought of living in space, read this book. If you like a rebellion, read this book. There were so many individual moving parts that were interwined so creatively that brought this whole story together for me. If it wasn't nerding out about the botanist successes and ship mechanics, it was unravelling the mystery of what the ... is happening on this ship. This book isn't overly technical when it comes to the space/botanist/sci-fi components, so even if those things don't interest you, or you often avoid those genres as you get lost in the technicals, don't stress! The book gives enough for us space nerds, but not too much that it takes over from the rest! The story itself feels like it could happen in our near future, which is scary, but it's relatable and real. The ending surprised me, although I feel this author is about to rock the boat with the next book. Right now, I couldn't tell you which way it's going to go. You will just have to read it for yourself!

  • First I'd like to start saying congratulations to the author, there are only a few books that have successfully made me feel in another world, transported me to a new reality and made me forget about current issues and problems of my own life, but this book did it with excellence. Despite the fact that I'm not a huge fan of science fiction, this story is really well written, it didn't feel overwhelming and yet it felt complete and very detailed I could picture Icarus as if it was real when I closed my eyes, I fell into an immersion so deeply, I became a character, sharing this story with them, as one would feel in a first person video game. The story is such a mystery constantly evolving and keeping you at the edge of the seat, It kept me awake at night because I just couldn't stop reading without knowing what would happen in the next chapter, from the bottom of my heart this book was such a good read. If you wish to forget about the real world and fall into an amazing story this is the book for you.

  • Quel beau premier volet, on se laisse prendre dans cet univers qui magnifiquement posé et développé . Les personnages sont attachants et on ressent à chaque instants tous les enjeux et sentiments les animant. On est happé dans l'intrigue. Hâte de voir comment se poursuivra l'aventure !

L’enfer des corrections

Le mois de septembre se termine, et il est temps de faire un petit bilan.
Depuis ma reprise mi-août, j’ai… terminé la traduction de Origins : Le Soulèvement en anglais. C’était un enfer, on ne va pas se mentir.
